ABOUT THE BOOK-
This book is a comprehensive compilation of writings by Yogi Ashwini, that have appeared in various journals and newspapers in the years 2006-2007.
The seeker is given an insight into some of the more advanced and subtle concepts of Yog by the Master himself- gyan that has been crystallised after years of practise with utmost discipline under the Guru’s Grace. Concepts like Desires Maya, Dhyan, Samadhi, Manas, Buddhi, aspects of a Being, Ayurved, Gyan, Awakening, Law of Karma amongst others have been discussed.
A question may arise, if it’s so sacred, then why share it with the common man? The answer is simple. The word ‘spirituality’ has been much misrepresented in the last few decades and unless this trend is checked, the real knowledge and essence of Yog, the author feels, might be lost to oblivion. Breaking the ‘larger than life’ image built around the subject, it is presented in its true and undiluted form, readily accessible to anyone who wishes to tread the path. Several myths that blur the subject have been highlighted so that the Seeker may steer clear of them in his/her spiritual pursuit.

Some excerpts- THE SCIENCE OF YOG:
“.......though the purpose of yog is atmasakshatkar or self realisation, there are various by-products as you move up the ladder towards realising yourself or to say being in yoghere you embrace the inner and the outer realities for a perfect harmonious balance, the important point is that you do not intellectually understand the inner and outer realities but experience them. Yog is an experience and not a subject of the intellect….”

GURU:
“Normally I am asked this question that why can I not read all the books available and the Vedas and evolve? Why do I need a guru? I cannot bow befor another man. Such common questions and streams of thoughts, being so frequently asked made me write about the guru in such great detail….”

SPIRITUALITY:
“Spirituality is a science of the ‘spirit’ or the ‘ether’. The science of the spirit starts where logic ends, hence I really do not expect the reader to understand with logic what I am elucidating. It is recommended to just be with the flow and not to ‘try’ and understand this science as one tries to understand the modern day sciences, the vedic masters were clear in their concepts. They have strongly put it, that your mind is limited while the world of the ether is unlimited, so applying the limited to the unlimited can only result in gaining only a partial knowledge of the unlimited and that’s not good enough……”
“…..Beings of kalyug are buying false statements sold by brilliant business people. People seem to have forgotten that no saint sold spiritual knowledge. It has always been imparted selflessly for the betterment of mankind. It is only now that it has become a business where the seller laughs all the way to the bank….”

  6. Sanjeevji, kundalini is d infinite power given 2 every human which is lying in latent state n it can be realised only wid regular practice of yog in its true essence, dis power can do anything in dis world bt if dis power is activated in a wrong way or we can say if it is awakend unguided then it can cause irrepairable damage bcoz our body may nt b capable enough to handle it.

  7. Dear Poojaji, wid our limited buddhi(brain
) we cannot judge wht is gud 4 us nt wht is nt, so whn we follow d path of Yog our purity level increases which changes our frequency n whosoever doesnt match wid it leaves us automatically as we progress n they r left behind.

  8. Poojaji, this is the answer to your question how can gyan be disastrous. Guru is a medium between pure divine consciousness and impure being.
"The concept of Guru has its roots in the philosophy that the student is like a cold piece of stone devoid of the heat of gyan. Gyan exists all over, as it is no one man's domain, but the student cannot access it because of the vast difference between his frequencey and the subtle plane at which gyan vibrates. If this subtle frequency were to enter his body the mere force of this power would destroy his body.(Something similar to what happens when the Kundalinii awakens in an uncontrolled manner). Hence even the attainment of the Divine and the vast gyan becomes impossible. Thus a dire need for another force or energy which has the capacity to change this frequency to the level of the student and instead of pouring hot water onto cold stone, the Water is cooled and very slowly poured over the stone so that the stone doesnot crack but sarts gaining heat and ultimately gets gradually heated with the gyan, reaching the same tempature as the hot water, but without injury." - 'YOGI ASHWINI JI,PAGE-29,SANATAN KRIYA: BASIC

  10. Sanjeevji, regarding your question on Kundalini-

"Kundalini is pure power- Mata Shakti, which resides in each one of us in a semi dormant state in the lowest most chakra. For evolution and transformation this force needs to be awakened to achieve yog, that is, union with the divine." - YOGI ASHWINI JI`PAGE-88,THE THOUGHTS... OF THE INNER WORLD

Body is the vehicle that has to be made strong enough and purified with the yogic practices, to have the capacity to hold the awakened Shakti- Kundalini. The vehicle would break down with the extreme force if it is not strong enough to hold the Shakti, causing destruction of the human body beyond repair.

  12. Poojaji, this is regarding your question on thoughts and karma-
Poojaji, this is regarding your question on thoughts and karma-

"Depending on the state of a being's level of evolution and state of mind, only certain kinds of thoughts are caught by it from the available choices. For example, a person who is lower down on the ladder of evolution would catch only negative thoughts, viz. anger, fear, aggression, etc. He would be catching thoughts on how to defraud somebody for personal gain. Basically, the thoughts would be highly self-centred. A person who is higher on the evolution ladder would catch thoughts like love, caring, charity, helping others, etc, or selfless thoughts.
It is said that kind of person you are, would decide what kind of thoughts you would be catching from the environment; and the thoughts you catch would be similar to your desire for experiences. Each soul which manifest in the physical creation chooses a body on the basis of experiences taht the body will go through in the course of its life. Tha body acta the experience and the soul takes or enjoys the experience. So thoughts are our deep desires, as the seeds of thoughts lies in the desire for experiences." 'YOGI ASHWINI JI,PAGE-15,SANATAN KRIYA: BASIC

As per my understanding everthing is already created including thoughts but one
catches thoughts and perform karmas as per the one's level of evolution. The person lower on evolution ladder can not catches the thoughts that are caught by the person who is evolved. Because person catches the thoughts as per the predominant chakra or we can say the constitution of the person (body constitutes of five elements- earth, water, fire, air and space and their ratio varies in each person making them different from others). So when we do good karmas, yogic practices and with the grace of the guru, the ratio of these elements changes, the frequency of the person becomes subtle and leads to changes in one's thought patterns and person starts catching higher thoughts that exist in different dimension. Although everything is already created but one has got the choice to choose from it, which is in one's own hand, so we are bound by our karmas.

Below given lines by Yogi Ashwiniji would help to understand thoughts and their existence in a better way.

"Thoughts reside in their very own dimension or loka. Human connect to them through their chakras, e.g., a sexual thought would be connected by the swadhisthan chakra and never by the manipurak chakra. The respective chakra collects the thoughts and sends it to the ajna (master chakra), which translates the language of the thought world to the physical world and further sends it to the brain and the body acts."

"A being of a certain prakriti or nature will connect to the thoughts of similar nature good, bad, kind, cruel, various aspects of prakriti. Thoughts have certain compositions, like everyother object of creation; they are composed of a specific frequency of sound or colour, which is audible or visible at the time of connection. Imagination in the form of sight or sound is again connecting to the dimensions of thoughts."- YOGI ASHWINI JI

  13. Sanjeevji, about d Kundalini force- once Yogiji himself shared his experiences n that is........ once he was somewhere in jungles & he met a person who said," look at me" and when Yogiji looked at him his ears started moving uncontrollably. In another incident, he saw a person whose hair were standing at d end.........these are two examples of Kundalini force being awakened without d guidance of Guru........I think these two personal experiences of Yogiji are impeccable examples of how seriously ones body can be damaged if Yog sadhna is done unguided, hence the presence and grace of Guru are the prerequisites when one treads the path of Yog.

  15. Yog is not possible without Guru. Yog begins at the Guru's feet. It is one's surrender and faith in the Guru that makes one embark and progress on the path of Yog. With the grace of the Guru only one can get Gyan. Gyan is not knowledge but the experience.

For a Shishya no force is higher than the Guru. It is one's experience that tells who is the Guru for an individual.

  17. The ultimate fact of YOG is that nothing is possible without Guru's grace n nothing is impossible if one has Guru's grace. I taught in varius schools n colleges for more than 14 yrs but never learnt a simple thing which my personal experience in Dhyan foundation has taught me that the more learned you are n the more you use your logical mind, you become more & more sceptical bcoz your intellect & ego doesnt let you free to recognize and accept your Guru; you are always aware of your own aptitude n this never lets you surrender completely at the feet of Guru; but mere presence of Guru helps you recognize your innerself................this is what I have experienced in Yogiji's presence especially when he takes the Dhyan session himself, there are hardly any thoughts & you feel the stage of Zeroness( shoonyata)& that itself helps you recognize the Guru. Here Yogiji's saying holds true - SOUL RECOGNIZES SOUL & LORD SHIVA HAS SENT AN ENERGY WITH US TO TAKE US THROUGH THE JOURNEY OF LIFE n HELP US ATTAIN SALVATION AFTER UNDERGOING ALL THE EXPERIENCES OF OUR LIFE.

  19. Shreyaji, Whatever we get attracted to is known as MAYA n this maya gets us enticed to various attractions & ultimately we get distracted. Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting & touching are the doorsteps to any kind of temptation so we get struck up in the physical, worldly n materialistic pleasures. This makes us forgetful about our innerself that is why it is essential to shut these doorways to the worldly pleasures n go within to experience something which is beyond explaination in words. A simple example is 'SHAANMUKHI' in which we close our eyes, ears, nose & mouth n go inside ourselves, then we experience certain sounds & sights of our Chakras which we cant imagine even in our wildest dreams. Rest I leave upto you to experience yourself because Yogiji always tells that YOG is not a subject of lecture or theory, it is only a subject of experience but only & only under Guru's guidance.

  28. As far as the question on religion is concerned I would like to add something to what Nitashaji has said - DHYAN FOUNDATION is a Spiritual & Charitable Organization n in todays world Religion is left for only Political people. All that is a prerequisite to do Sanatan Kriya is staunch n unshakable faith in Divine & there is nothing to understand in the Kriya rather mind is not to be used & just remember that Divine Energy that flows to us is same & we receive it as per our Purity level irrespective of our caste, creed, colour or religion because all these aspects of humanity are Man-made n all we are taught in the Foudation is Selfless service to all n sundry wihtout being judgemental on any basis. So Sanatan kriya is not at all biased & can be followed by anyone n everyone irrespective of Social, cultural, Financial or Religious background.

  29. Yatiji you have asked a number of questions about Guru, from what I have learnt during the past 11 months in Dhyan Foundation I would try to answer some of your questions. As far as finding GURU is concerned, we dont find the Guru but Guru himself calls us & it is on the basis of our Karmic balance, if we have good karmas we would definitely meet our Guru n we recognise the Guru with the help of something called Intuition which is based on our 6th sense. This Intuitive power helps us recognize our Guru whom we may not identify with our 5 senses which have tied us. But still if we want a proof whether we are at the right place or not then we should wait for the 1st experience because if we are with our Guru then we would definitely have spiritual experience. But still if you are not satisfied then the first sign( lakshan) of a true Guru is that Guru never takes anything physical or financial in lieu of the Yogic Gyan that He imparts.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yatiji you want to know about the importance of GURU n whom can we call a GURU. A Guru helps us in self-realization ie realizing our own potential n the latent energy in us, He channelizes our energy to the best use because He knows us better than we ourselves, He brings positivity in our life as He guides us at every step in doing good Karmas,GURU lets the Gyan flow in us very easily n spontaneously n ultimately its only n only Guru who makes our merger with the DIVINE possible. Then whom can we call a Guru? Guru can be in any form but it is essential that Guru is in physical form ie Guru is alive because Divine energy can flow to us through a Guru only n for that a medium is required & that medium is the physical body. Still for more information there is an exclusive chapter on GURU in THOUGHTS....IN THE INNER WORLD by YOGIJI.

  31. Shreyaji, below given lines of yogiji would help us to understand your question on "THE WORLD OF THE SPIRIT STARTS WHERE LOGIC ENDS"

“We all have limited capacity to comprehend things. This is set by our buddhi (intellect) and manas (conditioned mind). We are able to comprehend only as much as is under this outer sheath”- YOGI ASHWINI JI, SANATAN KRIYA: BASIC, Page No-13
“Theoretically explaining, our capacity to understand or comprehend things is very-very limited. Because, it is based on our senses that are limited by Buddhi. It is the buddhi, which creates a kind of obstruction so that we cannot see beyond. We are only able to comprehend things, which are under this. The inner layer or sheath is called manas or the logical mind, something which makes 1+1=2, something on the basis of which we draw conclusions. This inner layer of the logical or conclusive mind is bounded by buddhi or our five senses. There is an unending expanse of so many dimensions, which manas and buddhi are unable to comprehend because of their limitations.”- YOGI ASHWINI JI>THE....THOUGHTS OF THE INNER WORLD.PAGE NO-136.

So in short something which is limited(our senses) cannot understand the unlimited (innerworld ). So only when buddhi disintegrates with guru kripa can the limited become unlimited

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yatiji for your question- "How can we find our GURU?IF we get any sign or any call?"

How can we find our GURU?

As Snehji said its Guru who find us but for that we need to perform good karmas i.e by doing selfless help. Yogiji says - when we do smthg for anybody we should not think of what we will get in return. Also give to anybody just like that if you have the capacity to give without applying your mind that whom to give. Even when you are doing charity one should not keep on thinking that one is doing charity, if we do so we would end up taking some pleasure out of that. Charity should be such that not even the other hand is aware of it.

IF we get any sign or any call?

Yes, we get signs. It is individual's experience that tells one who your guru is. First sign is dettachment and it is not forced, also one starts becoming indifferent even in difficult situations. Likewise one starts experiencing changes in all aspects be it financial, physical, emotional, spiritual. Your body starts getting into shape without doing anything, your desires starts getting fulfilled so it is advised to be careful about what you want and think when you are with an evolved being.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yatiji you have asked about the difference b/w Knowledge & Gyan, Knowledge is something that we accumulate by reading, seeing or listening to others, so Knowledge is what we understand & gather through our 5 senses whereas Gyan is totally experience based, it is not limited to our 5 senses rather it is beyond understanding through these senses. Knowledge is something for which we strive to understand things whereas Gyan flows into us very spontaneously without any effort but Gyan can be obtained only with Guru Kripa else it remains mere knowledge. I would like to refer to an example here- when we show a picture of an Apple to a child, the child would ask innumerous questions like the various colours in which apples are found, the smell, the taste etc,we would keep answering the endless questions & yet the child wont be satisfied- this is the accumulation of Knowlwdge but if give varieties of Apples to the child to eat then the child would know which coloured Apple smells n tastes like what & all the queries would be answered wihtout explaining things verbally- this is Gyan which is based upon the personal experience of an individual. Above all what I am telling you about Yog or Guru or Gyan is all Knowledge but when you would do the Kriya yourself n have 1st hand experiences in the presence of Guru that would be Gyan because Yogiji always tells that Yog is not a of theoy but purely a subject of Experience only.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yatiji, Gyan is the energy that flows from the Guru to a shishya. One need not be intellectual to acquire the gyan which is experiences and not knowledge. Experience cannot be bought or cannot be understand by reading books, for that one needs to be disciplined and should follow the yog practices without any modifications. Evolution can happen only with the grace of the Guru and regular practices of yog, then only one can have eperiences and gyan flows automatically to them. The gyan is all around but one cannot access it because of its frequency being subtle that doesnot match with the frequency of normal being.SO with yog practices one has to bring his frequency to the level at which one can access the gyan. SO regular practice is must to bring balance and to change one's frequency resulting in step by step evolution.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yatiji, when it is said that we should not suppress our desires or avoid maya it means that whatever we wish to do in our life we must do it as early as possible( provided the desire is not to harm anyone) so that we get over with it because if we suppress our desire & avoid then it would be out of our life temporarily but gradually it would again raise its head & then the intensity would be much more so the indulgence is greater & then there are higher chances of getting entrapped completely in the shackles of maya. The sooner we experience the earlier we overcome that particular desire but the most pivotal part is that we gradually get dettached with that desire & dont get struck up in it & it happens for sure if we have Guru's grace because it is human tendency that we keep approaching whatever we want but the moment we actually achieve we lose interest in it. Once we are through with a particular experience then we can raise our bar through regular practice of Yog under the constant guidance of Guru, developing strength of Mind & Character so that we reach a higher level of consciousness & dont get enticed with worldly pleasures n this spontaneous( not imposed) control over sense is called EVOLUTION.

  40. can any body explain me about the SHIV $ SHAKTI?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dear Pooja,SHIV & SHAKTI should be called SHIV-SHAKTI because it is simply just two words of one name. People generally visualise the image of shiv - Shakti as a half man & a half woman which symbolises every couple because every man symbolises Lord Shiva n every female is form of Maa Shakti. At the time of formation of Creation there was no form but only an ENERGY which was called 'Sukshma iti Sukshma' ie the subtlest of the subtle. Then after Brahmaji n Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva emerged from the mother. Lord Shiva is known as Transformer without whom transformation, salvation or evolution is impossible. Lord shiva is also known as 'DEVA-ADI-DEV MAHADEV'. Mata shakti is his consort known as 'Shakti'or 'Parvati'.Lord Shiva is only a form who derives energy from Shakti and Shakti without Lord is only n only Energy which needs a vehicle to carry out desires. Hence, complete Evolution is signified by the form of 'ARDHANARESHWAR'. The same concept goes for the whole Creation. A whole chapter has been given by Sir in his book THOUGHTS.........OF THE INNER WORLD named ' The Cosmic Force & Shiv Shakti' under the Sub-title...'Depths'.

Guru is the ultimate, for it is said that no shatra, no tapasya, no mantra, no form or appearance, no God or japa is superior to the Guru...Only Guru can give you experience because Guru is not a physical being. One should not make a mistake of identifying the Guru with a physical form...Shastra clearly state that one who thinks of the Guru as mere man and identifies him with physical attributes can never be liberated...Guru is not a physical being but the embodiment of the Ultimate Guru who assumes a human form to guide us through the journey of yog."
